Some departments even insist upon wearing these coats as this can be treated as a dress code. The staff members can easily be identified upon these coats. The other reason for medical practitioners to wear these lab coats is that they can keep their inner clothes free from chemical and medicinal spills and bacterial infection. They also have to wear these coats as they have antibacterial substances in the fabric. This kills the bacteria that get stuck to the coat during their rounds. It also does not allow the infection to spread among all other patients. It also protects the medical supervisor from getting the infection.
Today, the market of medical coats has also changed. You can get stylish, cross bodied, and colorful medical lab coats. These make the doctors and medical students look more attractive and appealing. The hospitals have also started issuing these lab coats on a daily basis to the doctors. They also take care of the cleaning of these coats.
